BusinessChina and UAE strengthen industrial cooperation with bilateral agreements at JOCIC's exhibition in Abu Dhabi

The first Chinese Industrial Products Exhibition hosted by Jiangsu Overseas Cooperation and Investment Company (JOCIC) in Abu Dhabi on March 7 attracted over 500 visitors and featured the signing of several bilateral agreements in research, technology, and space. The exhibition’s opening ceremony saw Zhang Yiming, ambassador of China to the United Arab Emirates, praise the fruitful achievements in various areas between the two countries, calling it the “golden times” of China-UAE relations. The exhibition was part of JOCIC’s efforts to develop and operate the Chinese-UAE Industrial Capacity Cooperation Demonstration Zone, which supports Chinese investors and companies in Gulf region markets. Abdullah Al Hameli, head of the Industrial Cities and Free Zone Cluster at AD Ports Group, pledged full support to Chinese firms with their production and logistics to further cement bilateral ties.

During the exhibition, Deputy General Manager of China Jiangsu International Group Zheng Yimin, also the chairwoman of JOCIC, noted that the UAE’s globally renowned investment atmosphere and strategic location make it a preferred destination for Chinese companies seeking to enter the European and African markets. This sentiment was echoed by the signing of five bilateral agreements between JOCIC and participating entities, including the United Arab Emirates University, WeRide, Origin Space, and representatives of Jiangsu, Shandong, Hunan, and Yunnan provinces. The agreements aim to support high-quality corporate development in the UAE and further strengthen cooperation between China and the UAE in research, technology, and space.
