High Noon Recalls Vodka Seltzer After Packaging Mix-Up with Celsius Energy Drink

High Noon, one of the leading ready-to-drink alcohol brands in the U.S., has announced a recall of select Beach Variety 12-packs of its vodka seltzers following a serious packaging error. Some of the affected packages contain cans labeled as Celsius Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz Edition, which are mistakenly filled with High Noon’s alcoholic beverage instead of a non-alcoholic energy drink.

This mix-up presents a significant health and safety risk, particularly for children, individuals with medical conditions, or those who abstain from alcohol for personal or religious reasons. While no injuries or illnesses have been reported, the company has issued an urgent warning to consumers who may have purchased the mislabeled cans.

The issue was traced back to a packaging supplier who inadvertently shipped Celsius-branded cans to High Noon’s production facility. These cans were then mistakenly included in shipments of High Noon’s Beach Variety Packs distributed in late July. The affected products were sent to retailers and distributors in several states, including Florida, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

Consumers who purchased these variety packs are advised to check for any Celsius-labeled cans, especially the Astro Vibe Sparkling Blue Razz Edition. If found, these cans should not be consumed and must be discarded immediately. High Noon has urged customers to reach out to the company directly for information on how to obtain a refund.

Owned by E. & J. Gallo Winery, High Noon has rapidly become one of the most popular names in the ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage market. Known for its brightly packaged, fruit-flavored vodka seltzers, the brand enjoys wide popularity among consumers seeking convenient and refreshing alcoholic options. This incident, however, underscores the critical importance of strict quality control in the beverage production process, particularly when dealing with products that resemble non-alcoholic alternatives.

The recall serves as a reminder for both manufacturers and consumers to remain vigilant. High Noon has stated that it is working with its suppliers and regulatory authorities to ensure this type of error does not happen again. In the meantime, customers are encouraged to review their purchases carefully and report any discrepancies directly to the company.
