NFL MVP Josh Allen Signs Endorsement Deal with New Balance

BusinessNFL MVP Josh Allen Signs Endorsement Deal with New Balance

Buffalo Bills quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen has made a major shift in his endorsement portfolio, leaving Nike to sign with New Balance. The announcement came Friday in a heartfelt letter addressed to his hometown of Firebaugh, California, underscoring both personal roots and professional ambition.

Allen, who had been signed with Nike since entering the NFL in 2018, is one of the league’s most prominent figures, having led the Bills to six consecutive playoff appearances. His move is a significant win for Massachusetts-based New Balance, a company that has steadily grown its reputation in professional sports by aligning with star athletes across multiple leagues.

Although financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, the partnership goes beyond traditional sponsorship. New Balance pledged to fund youth sports programs in Firebaugh, highlighting its commitment to community development. For Allen, this connection resonated deeply. In his letter, he emphasized that Firebaugh shaped his character and his football journey. “Firebaugh didn’t have quarterback camps or private trainers. We had heart. We had community. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything,” he wrote.

Allen described joining New Balance as a natural fit, citing shared values of family, community, and authenticity. The quarterback’s brand appeal has only grown in recent years, bolstered by his leadership role in Buffalo and his appearance on HBO’s “Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Buffalo Bills,” which concluded its season earlier this week.

New Balance has been aggressively expanding its athlete roster, signing elite names like tennis star Coco Gauff, MLB sensation Shohei Ohtani, and WNBA standout Cameron Brink. The company said in a statement that it was “honored to welcome Josh Allen on the field and in the community” as it continues building its presence in football.

This isn’t the only new chapter for Allen in 2025. Earlier this week, he revealed another high-profile partnership, becoming the first-ever Performance Advisor for Therabody, a leading fitness recovery brand. This dual expansion into footwear and wellness underscores Allen’s increasing influence both on and off the field.

By aligning with New Balance, Allen is not only reshaping his personal brand but also contributing to his community in a meaningful way. The deal reflects a broader trend of athletes seeking partnerships that go beyond financial incentives, focusing instead on authenticity and impact.
