Viva Tech 2023: A Sneak Peek into the Future of Web3 and Technology

The stewards of VivaTech envision technology as a potent change agent, capable of addressing sustainability issues. While technology isn’t a universal solution, it does provide answers to several complex societal questions. It aids in waste reduction, efficiency augmentation, resource diversification, and addressing the energy crisis. Moreover, it paves the way for reimagining education and work, promoting greater diversity and inclusion.

VivaTech 2023 will serve as a platform for over 2,400 startups and 2,000 investors, empowering local frontrunners from Africa to Asia to evolve into global leaders. The number of exhibitors has seen a 10% hike from the previous year, and the exhibition space in Halls 1&2 has grown by an extra 20%, encompassing 53,000 m². Thought leaders, tech visionaries, state leaders, and industry luminaries will grace the event’s four stages, covering a broad array of topics from AI to cybersecurity, climate tech, sports, and diversity.

The Republic of Korea, honored as this edition’s guest, will present 150 of its top startups. The event will also spotlight numerous dedicated zones, ranging from AfricaTech featuring eight national pavilions to a special conference area for FemTech. Hall 2 of VivaTech is wholly devoted to the Future of Sport, in collaboration with Global Sports Week.

The “Tech on Tracks” project, in alliance with the SNCF Group, will transport the cream of the European tech ecosystem to Paris. It will facilitate the arrival of 150 startups, investors, ecosystems, and media from leading European hubs via cross-border trains.

VivaTech, once again, affirms itself as the intersection of business and innovation, fostering collaboration opportunities, and inviting discussions on globally significant issues by major tech influencers and leading firms.

The VivaTech 2023 event offers a stage to spotlight and applaud excellence and innovation in the startup domain. In partnership with the International Finance Corporation, VivaTech is bringing back its AfricaTech Awards initiative for the second year, focusing on Climate Tech, Health Tech, and FinTech innovations in Africa.

Simultaneously, the Female Founder Challenge, backed by AXA, Mazars, and Société Générale, seeks to promote gender equality by facilitating interactions between investors and women entrepreneurs. A similar initiative, the FemTech Challenge, was launched this year, offering ten startups an accelerated training program on gynecology and the French care system.
