Enhancing literacy rates in Xinjiang through Educational initiatives

Rahman Awut, a teacher from No 23 Senior Middle School in Yining city in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, is a prime example of the transformative power of education. Rahman was born into a family of eight siblings and grew up in a challenging environment. Despite facing difficulties, she and her siblings were able to complete their compulsory education and attend college, thanks to the support of the local Party committee and government. Rahman has been working with two classes of Xinjiang students in Jinan, Shandong province since 2020, and has been living in the same dormitory as her students to provide them with support and counseling.

Rahman has been a strong advocate for these principles, giving over 50 speeches in the past two months on the spirit of the Congress, with a focus on education, human resources, core socialist values, national security, and unity.
