The German Embassy in China recently hosted an indoor concert by the China National Symphony Orchestra’s Palace Museum String Quartet. The event, which took place on August 18, was attended by nearly 150 representatives from both China and Germany.
In her welcoming speech, German Ambassador Dr. Patricia Flor noted that this was the first time the embassy had partnered with the orchestra for its summer concert series. The music was performed by four exceptional young musicians who have previously traveled overseas for several performances.
The concert is part of a regular series organized by the German Embassy in China every summer, with the goal of promoting cultural exchanges between China and Germany.
The China National Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to using music as a bridge for global cultural communication. Their participation in the embassy’s summer concert series marks a new area of engagement with the German Embassy in China. The orchestra aims to spread China’s voice, share Chinese stories, and contribute to cultural exchanges between China and other countries.
The event was a significant step towards strengthening cultural ties between China and Germany. Music, as a universal language, served as an excellent medium for fostering mutual understanding and appreciation between the two nations.
