Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (YOFC) made a significant impact at MWC Barcelona 2026, unveiling its cutting-edge “AI x Fibre” vision. The company showcased a comprehensive suite of end-to-end all-optical solutions designed to power the next generation of AI-driven industries, from intelligent computing to smart mobility.

YOFC’s AI Intelligent Computing Center Solution was a central focus, engineered for hyperscale and high-performance computing environments. This solution integrates advanced optical technologies like hollow-core fibre and multi-core fibre with premium multimode fibre, 400G/800G optical transceivers, and energy-efficient cabling systems. The hollow-core fibre, in particular, boasts transmission speeds approximately 47% faster than conventional fibre and reduces latency by around 31%, with YOFC achieving commercial-scale production of this ultra-low-loss technology.

The All-Optical Smart Vehicle system exemplified YOFC’s application-specific solutions. By deploying in-vehicle fibre networks, this platform facilitates high-bandwidth, low-latency communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and cloud platforms, crucial for autonomous driving and overall traffic efficiency. Beyond mobility, YOFC also displayed solutions for marine communications, power communications, and smart living, underscoring its end-to-end deployment capabilities across diverse sectors.

YOFC’s presence at MWC Barcelona 2026 underscored its strategic direction: further integrating AI with optical communications to expand its solutions portfolio and champion all-optical architectures. The company aims to create long-term industrial value in the AI era and support large-scale digital transformation, emphasizing sustainable growth through environmentally responsible manufacturing and global collaboration.
