Originally a geography student, she discovered her passion for acting through a theatre club in college. After college, Kim joined a theatre troupe and continued to hone her craft, studying acting at the Korea National University of Arts. A grant from Arts Council Korea allowed her to train with theatre troupes internationally, broadening her skills. In 2013, her dedication led her to study acting techniques in New York, deepening her commitment to the art.
