Yin Li, the Party Secretary of Beijing, opened the ceremony with a speech emphasizing Beijing’s dual identity as both the capital of China and a world-renowned historical and cultural city. Yin highlighted the city’s significance as a center for international exchanges and its strong connections with the global community. He assured that Beijing, with its enhanced functionalities, is dedicated to providing convenience and support for diplomatic missions and representatives of international organizations based in China.
Representing the diplomatic missions, Elia George Kaiyamo, the Ambassador of Namibia to China, delivered a speech that acknowledged Beijing’s commendable safety standards and governance. He praised the city as a model for other countries to learn from, highlighting its harmonious blend of safety, development, and cultural richness.
Leonardo Kam, the Ambassador of Panama to China, also expressed admiration for Beijing’s immense development. He shared personal experiences of the transformed Chaoyang Liangma River, now boasting an international flair. Ambassador Kam invited families to enjoy the riverside’s charm and mentioned the Beijing International Coffee Trading Center in Chaoyang. He extended an invitation to visit Panama and its coffee plantations, hoping for increased cooperation in the future.

In a gesture showcasing cultural exchange, Belgian Counselor to China Johan Van Hove invited attendees to savor Brussels’ famous waffles and beer. In a similar spirit, the Ugandan Ambassador to China, Judyth Nsababera, attended the event wearing a red scarf gifted by the Chinese Embassy in Uganda. Ambassador of Bosnia to China, Sinisa Berjan, was seen capturing the essence of the event through photographs of the exhibition area.
