In a significant cultural exchange initiative, China Media Group (CMG) has introduced the second season of “Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping” in Vietnamese, coinciding with Chinese President Xi Jinping’s upcoming state visit to Vietnam. This series, which commenced broadcasting in Vietnam on Monday, offers a unique glimpse into the philosophical and cultural aspects of Chinese leadership and thought.

The program, featuring quotes and allusions used by President Xi Jinping, aims to showcase the depth and charm of Chinese culture. CMG President Shen Haixiong, speaking via video at the launching ceremony, expressed his hope that this series would foster a deeper mutual understanding and recognition between China and Vietnam. He noted that the initiative aligns with the calls from both heads of state to strengthen exchanges on state governance, sharing insights into President Xi’s governance philosophy and wisdom.

Do Tien Sy, a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and president of Voice of Vietnam, highlighted in a written speech the numerous cultural and historical similarities between Vietnam and China. He emphasized the shared desire of both nations to build stable, friendly, and cooperative relations, underlining the significance of this cultural initiative in promoting these goals.

The series began airing on Vietnam’s national television, VTC, and concurrently on its new media platform, VTC Now. VTC’s extensive reach across Vietnam and its substantial impact on the young audience makes it an ideal medium for broadcasting this series, ensuring wide viewership and engagement.

Alongside the launch of “Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping,” a daily news program co-produced by CMG and VTC also made its debut. This program represents a new chapter in the collaborative efforts between Chinese and Vietnamese media, enhancing the flow of information and cultural content between the two countries.

The introduction of “Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping” in Vietnam is more than just a cultural exchange; it is a bridge of understanding, connecting the people of China and Vietnam through the shared language of philosophy and history. It reflects a growing recognition of the importance of cultural diplomacy in international relations, particularly in fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect between neighboring countries.

This series not only provides Vietnamese audiences with a deeper understanding of Chinese cultural and philosophical perspectives but also opens up avenues for dialogue and shared learning. It is a testament to the power of media and cultural programs in bringing nations closer, transcending political and geographical boundaries to build a foundation of mutual respect and understanding.

As “Classics Quoted by Xi Jinping” unfolds on Vietnamese screens, it symbolizes a step forward in the cultural rapport between China and Vietnam, highlighting the role of media and cultural initiatives in strengthening international ties. This program is poised to play a crucial role in enhancing the bilateral relationship, promoting cultural appreciation, and paving the way for future collaborative endeavors.
