Forbes China has released its 100 Power Business Women list, with Luxshare Precision’s Chairwoman and Founder, Wang Laichun, taking the top spot for the ninth time. Luxshare Precision, which supplies to Apple Inc, reported a revenue increase of 79.3 percent to CNY 145.25 billion ($20.83 billion) in the first three quarters of 2022. Dong Mingzhu, Chairwoman of Gree Electric Appliances, ranked second on the list, while Meng Wanzhou, Deputy Chairwoman, Rotating Chairwoman, and CFO of Huawei, secured fourth place.

The list recognizes female executives in Chinese listed companies, women leaders of top multinational performers at Forbes Global 2000 List, and women entrepreneurs of unicorns. This year’s top 100 women entrepreneurs were selected based on their achievements in running a business with sizable revenue, capital market performance, market scale, industry influence, and innovation. Nearly one-fourth of the top 100 women entrepreneurs are from the bio-medicine and health industry, and the average age of the list is 51 years old. Over 60 percent of the top 100 women entrepreneurs hold a master’s degree or above, and over one-fourth of them have studied abroad. The market value of companies run by the top 100 women entrepreneurs has exceeded CNY 5.5 trillion, with Shanghai, Beijing, and Hangzhou having the most women entrepreneurs on the list, accounting for half of the list in numbers.
