Located on the top floor of the Landmark shopping centre in Central, the restaurant is a collaboration with luxury crystal ware company Baccarat, offering a unique dining experience that combines exquisite cuisine with elegant décor.

A Legacy of Culinary Excellence: Coming from a lineage of Michelin-starred chefs, Pic inherited her passion for cooking from her grandfather and father, who established the family’s prestigious culinary reputation with Maison Pic in Valence, France. Despite initial reluctance, Pic took over the reins of the family restaurant in 1997 and successfully regained its third Michelin star in 2007.

Cristal Room: A Blend of Luxury and Comfort: Unlike her palatial restaurants in Switzerland and Singapore, Cristal Room in Hong Kong presents a more relaxed ambiance. The open kitchen, floor-to-ceiling windows, and Baccarat chandeliers create an inviting atmosphere, reminiscent of a luxurious penthouse dining room. A Culinary Journey with Anne-Sophie Pic: Pic’s meticulous approach to cuisine is evident in the menu at Cristal Room. The Post had the opportunity to preview the restaurant during its soft opening, where Pic herself oversaw the kitchen. The meal began with a quartet of amuse-bouche, each delivering a burst of flavor, followed by a series of masterfully crafted dishes. The Chinese peas from Yunnan, paired with Kaviari Oscietra caviar, stood out with their unique floral and tea-infused notes.

Innovative Dishes and Wine Pairings: Pic’s creativity shines through in dishes like Le Berlingot, her signature pyramid-shaped pasta filled with Comté cheese, served alongside a mushroom consommé and buckwheat tea latte. The wine pairings, particularly the umami-rich Jura white wine, perfectly complement the culinary experience.

Training and Team Building: To ensure cohesion between the front and back of the house, the service staff underwent extensive training at Maison Pic. Pic emphasizes the importance of a well-organized and structured team, reflecting her commitment to excellence in every aspect of the dining experience.
