“Vanishing,” a unique art exhibition dedicated to the talented Belgian artist Hans Op de Beeck, recently opened its doors at Galleria Continua in Beijing. The event was graced by the presence of the Ambassador of Belgium to China, Bruno Angelet.

The exhibition is a comprehensive display of Beeck’s works, featuring an array of sculptures, paintings, and video recordings. The showcased artworks, characterized by their elegance and textured finish, include grey sculptures draped in velvet-like fabric, revealing the artist’s distinctive and personal style.

Angelet, along with Public Diplomacy Counsellor Johan Van Hove, visited the exhibition, which is designed to invite guests into Beeck’s artistic universe and allow them to experience the artistic representation of society’s complexities.

Beyond visual arts, Beeck’s versatility extends to performing arts and other artistic mediums, such as theatre.

Galleria Continua has a history of supporting Belgian artists, and Beeck’s exhibition is part of a larger tradition. Prior to the “Vanishing” exhibition, the gallery hosted shows dedicated to other notable Belgian artists, including Berlinde de Bruyckere.
