Editorial Standards

Beijing Times is committed to accurate, fair, and clearly sourced reporting on China and the world.

Sourcing

Our reporting draws on established international news organizations, official statements, public records, and primary documents. Claims are attributed to their sources, and where possible we link readers directly to the underlying material. We do not publish rumors or single-source claims presented as fact.

Use of Automation and AI

Beijing Times uses automation and AI tools in parts of its reporting and production process, including drafting and formatting articles. All published content operates under editorial oversight: standards for sourcing, accuracy, and tone are set and reviewed by our editorial team, and articles that do not meet them are corrected or removed.

Corrections

We correct errors promptly. When a substantive error is found, we update the article and note the correction. To report an error, contact us through our contact page — corrections requests are reviewed by the editorial team.

Independence

Our coverage decisions are made by the editorial team. Sponsored or promotional content, where it appears, is labeled as such.
