Peyton Manning‘s Omaha Productions has secured a new business partner. A platform led by Patrick Whitesell, the former executive chairman of Endeavor, has acquired a 10% minority stake in Omaha Productions, which values the company at over $750 million. This partnership comes through a new investment platform that Whitesell is managing, which focuses on sports, media, and entertainment ventures. The platform’s first investment is the Omaha Productions stake, backed by Silver Lake, a private equity firm contributing $250 million to the fund.
Omaha Productions, co-founded by Manning and media executive Jamie Horowitz in 2020, has built a strong reputation for producing engaging content. It has created over 30 TV series and live events for major media companies, including Disney, Netflix, and Comcast’s NBCUniversal. The company is known for executive producing Netflix’s “Quarterback” and “Receiver” documentary series, as well as developing “Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli,” also known as the ManningCast, where the Manning brothers offer commentary and interview celebrities during games.
While Omaha Productions has been profitable since its inception, the involvement of Silver Lake and Whitesell is more focused on expanding the company’s business opportunities, rather than addressing any immediate financial needs. Omaha is looking to branch out beyond media, with plans to explore new ventures that leverage Manning’s public profile in different ways. The company has already made strides in this direction, recently announcing an investment in Good Good Golf, a golf and lifestyle brand.
Silver Lake’s involvement is not a surprise, given the firm’s long-standing relationship with Endeavor. Silver Lake played a significant role in transforming Endeavor from a talent agency into a dominant player in the sports and entertainment sectors. Endeavor, led by Ari Emanuel, went on to acquire both UFC and WWE, merging them into the publicly traded entity TKO Group.
This partnership and investment signal a bright future for Omaha Productions as it continues to grow and diversify its operations in the sports and entertainment landscape.
