BusinessGuizhou Province to Build Over 30,000 5G Base Stations in 2023, Cementing its Position as China's Big Data Hub

Southwest China’s Guizhou province has emerged as a major big data hub in China, thanks to its relentless pursuit of innovation and cutting-edge technology. As part of its ongoing efforts to further strengthen its digital infrastructure, local authorities have announced that they will be building over 30,000 5G base stations in the province in the year 2023.

The move to build more 5G base stations is a testament to Guizhou’s commitment to staying ahead of the curve and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of technology. With the establishment of these base stations, the province aims to provide fast, reliable, and secure 5G connectivity to all key areas, industrial parks, and transportation hubs in the region.

Currently, Guizhou has set up 84,300 5G base stations, providing complete coverage of all key areas, industrial parks, and transportation hubs with a reliable 5G network. This has helped the province establish itself as a pioneer in the field of big data and digital infrastructure.

As China’s first national big data comprehensive pilot zone, Guizhou has been at the forefront of digital infrastructure deployment, with systematic promotion of construction. This has enabled the province to lead the way in the development of cutting-edge technology and innovation, putting it ahead of other provinces in China.

In line with the province’s plan for new infrastructure construction for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), more than 160,000 5G base stations are expected to be built by 2025. This will further solidify Guizhou’s position as a leader in the field of big data and digital infrastructure.

Furthermore, the province anticipates a 6% growth in its GDP, amounting to 2.2 trillion yuan ($319 billion) by 2023, with the digital economy contributing nearly 40% to the overall growth. This growth is expected to create new jobs, stimulate economic activity, and attract more investment to the region, further enhancing its position as a major economic hub in China.

In conclusion, the development of new digital infrastructure in Guizhou province represents an exciting opportunity for businesses and individuals alike. With its commitment to innovation, cutting-edge technology, and rapid development, Guizhou is well on its way to becoming one of the most technologically advanced and economically vibrant regions in China.
