Abbott, a global healthcare leader, has announced the renovation and upgrade of its Customer Experience Center in Shanghai, making it the first of its kind in the world. The center will now showcase all of the company’s state-of-the-art technologies, including diagnostics, cardiovascular care, nutrition, diabetes care, and established pharmaceutical businesses.
The upgraded center offers a more customer-centered experience and promotes communication with partners in the country. It aims to contribute to the high-quality development of China’s healthcare industry, according to the Chicago-based company. Since its establishment in 2017, the 5,000-square-meter Abbott Customer Experience Center has been a hub of various functions and services, including showcasing innovative diagnostics solutions, training and education, and customer support.
On the same day, Abbott held its first health forum with renowned medical experts to increase public awareness of the importance of regular health examinations and reinforce the importance of early screening. The forum highlighted the need for early diagnosis of diseases, from cancers to seasonal flu, for timely and successful treatment. Ouyang Ping, Director of the Health Management Center at Nanfang Hospital Affiliated with Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, emphasized the importance of regular health examinations.
Abbott has pledged to improve the accessibility and affordability of its competitive diagnostic solutions in the country and work closely with local partners to support early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
