Beyoncé is making waves in the luxury spirits industry with the launch of her new whiskey line, SirDavis, in collaboration with LVMH’s Moët Hennessy. The global superstar announced the venture in a promotional Instagram post, where she held up a glass of the whiskey with the caption, “DAVIS IN MY BONES,” linking fans to the liquor’s official website.

As luxury spirits continue to gain popularity, Beyoncé joins a growing list of celebrities, including Mark Wahlberg and George Clooney, who are leveraging their fame to elevate premium liquor brands. With SirDavis, Beyoncé is not just entering the market but also paying tribute to her roots. The whiskey is named after Davis Hogue, Beyoncé’s great-grandfather, who was a moonshiner during Prohibition in the American South. The brand aims to honor this legacy, connecting past and present through a new, shared tradition.

“When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated,” Beyoncé shared. “SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy.”

Headquartered in Houston, Texas—Beyoncé’s hometown—SirDavis is crafted and bottled in the Lone Star State, making it Moët Hennessy’s first spirit brand developed entirely within the United States. The whiskey is a blend of 51% rye and 49% malted barley, aged in sherry casks to achieve a profile described as “bold sophistication” by the distillery.

The bottle design of SirDavis reflects Beyoncé’s distinctive style, featuring a bronzed horse that nods to themes from her recent albums. This artistic touch reinforces the connection between the whiskey and her personal and creative journey.

Set to retail for $89 per bottle, SirDavis will be available starting in September, offering fans and whiskey enthusiasts alike the opportunity to taste a spirit that embodies both luxury and heritage. With this new venture, Beyoncé not only expands her empire into the world of premium spirits but also brings a deeply personal narrative to the brand, enriching the story of SirDavis with her family’s history and her own artistic vision.
