Walmart has unveiled a new partnership with fast-food giant Burger King, offering Walmart+ members significant savings on their favorite flame-grilled meals. Starting in September, members of the Walmart+ subscription program will receive a 25% discount on any Burger King order made through the BK app. Additionally, members will be eligible for a free Whopper every three months with any purchase, enhancing the value of the subscription service.

The collaboration between Walmart and Burger King is aimed at providing more cost-effective options for consumers who are increasingly seeking value in their dining choices. Venessa Yates, Walmart’s senior vice president and general manager, expressed confidence that the partnership would be well-received by members, highlighting the alignment between the two brands in delivering customer satisfaction and savings.

Walmart+ offers a range of benefits for its subscribers, including free shipping and delivery on Walmart orders. Priced at $12.95 per month or $98 annually, the subscription service has been positioned as a cost-saving solution for consumers. The partnership with Burger King adds a new dimension to the program, making it more attractive to those who frequently dine out or order fast food.

This new benefit builds on Walmart’s strategy of enhancing its subscription offering through valuable partnerships. In 2022, Walmart teamed up with Paramount Global to provide Walmart+ members with free access to an ad-supported plan on Paramount+. The addition of Burger King as the first dining partner for Walmart+ marks a significant expansion of the program’s benefits, offering members even more ways to save.

Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer for Burger King North America, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting that it would provide Walmart+ members with greater savings on Burger King’s popular menu items. The collaboration is expected to appeal to a broad audience, particularly those who appreciate the convenience and affordability of fast food, combined with the added benefits of a Walmart+ subscription.

As the partnership rolls out, Walmart+ members can look forward to enjoying discounted meals and exclusive perks at Burger King, making their subscription even more valuable. The introduction of these dining benefits underscores Walmart’s commitment to delivering value and convenience to its members, further solidifying the appeal of the Walmart+ program in a competitive retail landscape.
