William Shatner Explores AI with ProtoBot

Developed by hologram technology provider Proto Inc and conversational AI developer CodeBaby, the ProtoBot is slated for release on September 8 and will be freely accessible to owners of the Proto M or Proto Epic hologram units.

The Proto M unit, priced at approximately $6,500, is a smaller version of the life-size Proto Epic, which retails for $65,000. Proto Inc plans to launch a more affordable model for consumers within the next year and a half. Raffi Kryszek, the principal AI architect and head of innovation at Proto Hologram, noted that the ProtoBot is engineered to learn from conversations, but it can only generate responses when prompted.
