ChinaChinese Citizens Successfully Evacuated from Conflict Zone in Southern Israel

In a swift and efficient operation, over 280 Chinese citizens who had been trapped in the southern region of Israel, particularly in Sderot since October 7, have been successfully evacuated. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs took immediate action, instructing the Chinese Embassy in Israel to make every effort to bring its citizens to safety. As of the latest update, all the individuals who were trapped have been successfully evacuated.

Some of the evacuated personnel from Sderot have already returned to China on commercial flights, as confirmed by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning on Friday. This operation marks a significant achievement in ensuring the safety and well-being of Chinese nationals caught in a conflict zone.

Preliminary statistics provided by Mao Ning reveal that since the outbreak of the conflict, over 1,000 Chinese citizens have either returned to China or arrived in a third country. The Chinese Foreign Ministry is committed to providing ongoing support and assistance to its citizens affected by the situation.

The successful evacuation effort underscores China’s commitment to the safety and welfare of its citizens abroad, and the cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Chinese Embassy in Israel has been commendable in achieving this outcome. The Chinese government reassures its citizens that their well-being remains a top priority during challenging circumstances.
