BusinessEagle Nuclear Energy Soars Onto Nasdaq After SPAC Merger, Eyes U.S. Atomic Revival

Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp., a uranium explorer and next-generation nuclear technology company, launched its public trading debut on February 25, 2026, after a merger with Spring Valley Acquisition Corp II. The company begins this new chapter as it seeks to capitalize on surging electricity demand and America’s renewed focus on nuclear energy independence.

Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp. wasted no time making an impression on its first trading day after merging with Spring Valley Acquisition Corp II. The newly combined entity’s shares appeared under the tickers “NUCL” for common stock and “NUCLW” for warrants, with initial market reaction reflecting optimism for the firm’s prospects in the evolving nuclear landscape.

The $30 million raised through the transaction is set to fund Eagle’s operations for the next two years as it advances resource development and seeks offtake agreements.

Eagle’s central asset is the Aurora Uranium Project, located on the Oregon-Nevada border. Aurora boasts an impressive 32.75 million pounds of indicated and 4.98 million pounds of inferred near-surface uranium, supported by over 500 drill holes, making it the nation’s largest conventional uranium find. The adjacent Cordex deposit, with over 100 drill holes and ongoing data compilation, presents further expansion opportunities.

A table summarizing Eagle’s assets:

Project Resource Type Uranium (million lbs) Drill Holes
Aurora Indicated 32.75 500+
Aurora Inferred 4.98 500+
Cordex Pending To be updated 100+

Eagle sets itself apart as the first U.S.-listed uranium explorer to integrate exclusive Small Modular Reactor (SMR) technology. SMRs, due to their modular design and flexibility, are viewed as pivotal for meeting fast-growing, constant power needs—key as AI, quantum computing, and crypto mining demand ever more robust electricity grids.

Eagle’s strategy combines resource development and technological innovation to position itself as a linchpin for domestic nuclear fuel supply and a first-mover in the U.S. advanced nuclear sector.

The public listing comes as the U.S. policy environment turns increasingly favorable to nuclear, with regulatory efforts aiming to streamline reactor approvals. Eagle is betting on this momentum to accelerate its timeline, targeting first uranium production by 2032 and leaving the door open for earlier start depending on market and regulatory developments.

Backed by an executive team with deep mining and technology experience, Eagle now leverages its public presence to restore American leadership in uranium supply and nuclear technology—well-timed for the country’s intensifying grid demands.
