A Ferrari-inspired mansion, Casa Maranello, has set a new real estate record in Delray Beach, Florida, with a $50.5 million sale. The lavish transaction was not only the highest-priced sale in the area but also included a rare mansion swap, high-end furnishings, rare art, fine liquor, and even a miniature Ferrari replica.
Public records indicate that the buyer was a trust linked to William Cafaro, co-president of a retail property development company in Ohio. The purchase was made through a combination of cash and real estate, including the exchange of a nearly 18,000-square-foot mansion valued at $26 million. The home’s architect and developer, Aldo Stark of Prestige Design Homes, received $24.5 million in cash, along with ownership of the swapped property.
Both properties are located in the ultra-exclusive Stone Creek Ranch neighborhood, less than 1,000 feet apart. The Rockybrook estate that Stark acquired features seven bedrooms and ten bathrooms on a sprawling 2.5-acre lot. Stark has already begun extensive upgrades, incorporating exotic materials and custom furnishings, with plans to relist it soon.
Casa Maranello was sold at over $2,400 per square foot, surpassing the previous price-per-area record held by Villa Spectre, another opulent home designed by Stark. While Casa Maranello is a tribute to Ferrari, its neighboring estate, Villa Spectre, is inspired by James Bond and features a car gallery filled with Aston Martins and a custom Rolls-Royce Spectre. The 22,000-square-foot estate was purchased in an off-market deal for $36.8 million, with additional payments made for luxury furnishings and collectibles, bringing the total transaction value closer to $55 million.
Casa Maranello’s design embraces Ferrari’s signature elegance, featuring a bronze prancing horse fountain at the entrance. Inside, the mansion boasts opulent Venetian chandeliers, a marble-clad kitchen, a private wellness area inspired by Bulgari hotels, and a grand salon with a back-lit Brazilian tiger skin onyx bar. The 3,400-square-foot primary suite includes a walk-in closet and an 800-square-foot stone-clad bath connected to a private hair salon and massage room.
One of the standout features is a secret passage hidden behind a bookcase, leading to a guest wing with four en suite bedrooms, a private cinema, and a lounge. Outside, the estate wraps around a 95-foot-long resort-style pool with a spa and sun shelf.
Although Casa Maranello came fully furnished, its collection of Ferraris was not included in the sale. However, the buyers paid extra to keep a rare, six-figure miniature Ferrari replica. With its blend of automotive passion and architectural excellence, Casa Maranello stands as a testament to luxury living at its finest.
