An official from the National Development and Reform Commission, Gao Jian, deputy director-general of the Department of International Cooperation, reaffirmed China’s commitment during a meeting with Ye Xiaowei, senior vice-president of the US chip heavyweight Qualcomm on Tuesday.

The NDRC official’s remarks highlight China’s ongoing efforts to attract foreign investment and provide a welcoming environment for international businesses looking to tap into the country’s market potential. China has been working to improve its business environment in recent years, with a series of reforms aimed at opening up more sectors to foreign investment and reducing barriers to entry.
