The Yilin Press recently organized an event called “Time Travel: The Trip to Explore Persia” in Beijing to promote the Chinese version of the book titled The Persians: Ancient, Mediaeval and Modern Iran. The event featured a talk by Qin Chunlei, an expert on foreign cultural relics from the National Museum of China. Qin shared his extensive knowledge of Persian history and culture, gained from his travels to Iran and other countries.

During his presentation, Qin discussed Iran’s geographical location and provided a brief overview of its history. He also highlighted the Persian ruins in Iran and the influence of Persia outside its borders. Qin also spoke about the connection between China and Iran, and how the two countries share a long history of cultural exchange.

To illustrate his points, Qin shared photographs that he had taken during his visits to Persian ruins in Iran and museums in France, Great Britain, and the United States, which house cultural relics from Persian ruins. The presentation was attended by a live audience and was also broadcasted online.

It is worth mentioning that the Chinese translation of The Persians was published in 2022.
