At the Golden Globes, Moore reflected on these struggles, acknowledging the pressure women face to be smart enough, beautiful enough, and successful enough. She recalled advice from a woman who told her, “You will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.”
During the Cannes Film Festival, Moore reinforced the film’s stance, correcting co-star Dennis Quaid when he described his character as a stereotypical ruthless male. “I don’t want to say that we’re anti-men. We’re just anti-jerks,” she said.
