LifestyleBastille Celebrates 15 Years with UK Arena Tour

British band Bastille is set to embark on their first UK arena tour in three years, marking 15 years since their formation. The tour, titled “From All Sides – Songs from The First 15 Years,” will take fans on a nostalgic journey through the band’s career. Kicking off on November 6 in Plymouth, the tour will include stops in Cardiff, Nottingham, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, and Brighton, before concluding at London’s O2 Arena on November 18.

Bastille’s lineup, consisting of Dan Smith, Kyle Simmons, Will Farquarson, and Chris “Woody” Wood, promises an immersive experience featuring fan-favorite hits, deep cuts, selections from their mixtapes, and special unplugged moments. The band aims to capture the energy of their festival performances and present a comprehensive showcase of their musical evolution. Smith describes the tour as a joyous celebration of their journey, while Simmons emphasizes the excitement of curating the setlist to reflect all phases of their career.

Since forming in 2010, Bastille has achieved global success, propelled by their 2013 breakout hit “Pompeii.” Their debut album, “Bad Blood,” topped the UK charts, and they have since secured three number-one studio albums, selling over 13 million records worldwide. After taking a break from touring last year, the band now sees this tour as an opportunity to reflect on their achievements while reinvigorating their live performances.

Tickets for “From All Sides” went on sale last Friday, and the band is eager to reconnect with their audience. Simmons highlights how stepping back from their usual relentless schedule has allowed them to appreciate their journey and celebrate their music in a new way. Smith sees the tour as a fresh start, reintroducing their songs with renewed energy and creativity.

In addition to their performances, Bastille will contribute a portion of the tour’s proceeds to Youth Music’s “Rescue the Roots” campaign. This initiative supports grassroots youth music projects across Britain, many of which face potential closure. Smith acknowledges the difficulties young musicians encounter and expresses gratitude for the band’s longevity in the industry.

Smith has also recently backed the launch of the O2’s “Stamp It Out” campaign, an initiative aimed at helping concertgoers avoid ticket scams. He emphasizes the importance of tackling ticket touting to protect fans from inflated prices and fraudulent sales.

With this tour, Bastille seeks to celebrate their legacy while advocating for emerging musicians and fair ticketing practices, ensuring their impact extends beyond the stage.
